What can you do

Get Involved in with CRAG and Citizen Science! Volunteer with CRAG.

Come and join us at any of our events.

Be a citizen scientist! We’d love more help for the water quality testing in your area.  It will take an hour of your time at most and you can be on the rota as little or as often as you like.  Complete the contact us page and we will put you in touch with your nearest group.

Skills, skills, skills! Do you have skills in data analysis, social media, website maintenance or creative writing, and would you like to give us some of your time? We’d love to hear from you.

Eyes on the river! If you regularly walk along a stretch of the river, we’d love you to report anything unusual (good or bad). If you see clearer water than normal or new tree planting, if you see pollution or invasive species, take a note of your location (GPS or What3Words location preferred), take a photo and send it to our contact email. If you are keen, we can help you set up the EpicCollect App on your phone which will allow you to automatically log your location, take a photo and send it to us while you are at the riverside.

Landowners, we need you! Landowners with land bordering the river – we would love to hear from you. We would be keen to sample water from your property and remove invasive weeds. We would be keen to talk with you about erosion and tree planting, or management of nutrients that might flow to the river. Please contact us.

Join the Conversation!  We’d like to invite all groups and organisations – farmers & agricultural groups, businesses, residents groups, parish councils, anglers, environmental groups – to get in touch and join in the conversation on the river.
